The Division of Upper Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Southern California is currently offering a paid, one-year Research Fellowship position for the 2023-2024 academic year to current PGY2 or PGY3 general surgery residents. The Research Fellow will work alongside Upper GI/MIS Faculty and carry out clinical outcomes research on topics including benign and malignant foregut surgery, bariatric surgery, and abdominal wall reconstruction/hernia. Abstract submissions with subsequent poster and/or podium presentations at local and national meetings is expected with full departmental financial support. Workspace will be provided at Keck Hospital of USC and at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. Moonlighting will be permitted with prior approval.
