Fellowship Council COVID-19 Announcement
The Fellowship Council is aware of the disruption that the COVID-19 outbreak has had on society, academic institutions and hospitals, and consequently, on the interview process. As a result, the Fellowship Council required programs to conduct both local and non-local interviews virtually and asked programs to make every effort to accommodate applicants. Due to the continued limitations on travel instituted in some regions of the country, the Fellowship Council requires that all 2022-2023 fellowship year Non-ACGME Advanced Colorectal and Thoracic and 2023-2024 fellowship year Advanced GI, Advanced GI MIS, Bariatric, Comprehensive Flexible Endoscopy, Foregut and HPB application and matching process interviews be conducted via virtual interview methods. Further, the Fellowship Council discourages in-person interviews and second visits by applicants at this time.
