The US State Department has announced a suspension of routine visa services in most countries worldwide effective as of March 18, 2020. There is currently no date specified for when visa services will resume.
This does not impact J-1 visa holders who are currently in the US but it will impact those abroad seeking J-1 visas to begin their fellowship training programs August 1, 2020.

As the 2020-2021 fellowship year approaches, any program which has a fellow unable to start their 2020-2021 fellowship on August 1, 2020, should notify the Fellowship Council by completing the FC’s Member Change Form.
